So, what ear plugs do you choose?
We recommend ReactEar custom shooting ear protection plugs. These contain a valve that allows normal sound in, but block harmful noise levels when a gunshot is fired. ReactEar plugs are slim enough not to rub on the stock of a firearm while also letting your ears breathe.
From beginners to experts, ear protection is essential for shooting as a gunshot can produce a concussive level of energy that can cause long-term hearing loss. The sharp noise rattles the tiny bones in the inner ear, causing a ringing sensation.
While this may cause a temporary loss of hearing sensitivity, over time the damage can be permanent. Worryingly, it only takes one shot to cause serious hearing loss.
The condition known as shooter’s ear occurs when someone experiences hearing problems in just one ear. The ear closest to the firearm is protected by your shoulder and the stock of the gun, so the other ear is normally worse affected.
Silicone ear plugs offer unparalleled noise reduction qualities, safeguarding your ears from the sound of gunfire. This is crucial for preventing long-term hearing loss.
The moulded shape of the ear plugs makes our shooting ear protection range secure and comfortable to wear. The plugs can be worn for long periods with ease, making them ideal for all-day shooting parties.
Crafted from the latest hi-tech materials, our shooting ear protection plugs are built to withstand heavy use. They maintain their effectiveness and moulded shape, offering long-lasting protection in all weathers.
